Why was Jesus Christ sitting with tax collectors and sinners?

Why was Jesus Christ sitting with the tax collectors and sinners. That was a question the Pharisees asked to the Disciples. And Jesus Christ started to describe him as the Bridegroom. But one must also understand the translation of the words tax collectors and Sinners.

The Origin of tax collectors is telos and óneomai.
Telos and óneomai
telos means an end, a toll. The Original Word is τέλος, ους, τό. It is a noun.
óneomai is a verb and it means to buy ὠνέομαι.

The word for sinners is hamartanó. It means to miss the mark, do wrong, sin. It is written in Greek as ἁμαρτάνω

Metanoeó Μετανοέω repent, to change one's mind or purpose

About the Last Days, the Lord warns us not to be out buying on Sunday which is the end of the week.
